CHS chooses MD-Reports as their Endoscopy vendor of choice to replace Olympus EndoWorks

Community Health Systems will begin the process of transitioning to MD-Reports GI Endoscopy Reporting System in about 60 of their hospitals throughout the United States from the soon to be retiring Olympus EndoWorks platform. CHS decided to choose MD-Reports due to its GI specialty specific nature, ease of use of the platform, customizations at individual physician level, a GIQuIC certified system offering a comprehensive GI reporting tool and most importantly the cost of ownership of MD-Reports is substantially less compared to the other vendors with no compromise in quality.

“Following a detailed evaluation process (RFP) of all the potential software vendors by an internal multi-disciplinary leadership team consisting of clinical resources, operation management, quality assurance and information services, CHS is excited to announce this partnership with MD-Reports,” according to Tom Frundle, Manager Clinical Information Systems at Community Health Systems. MD-Reports was chosen as a vendor of choice as a result of:

  • Market Presence and Experience – 400+ installations / 15+ years in GI business
  • Ease of use and flexibility
  • Interoperability – Ability to integrate and migrate information from any HIS System
  • Quality Reporting – GIQuIC Certified / OP29 & OP30 / ASCQR09 & ASCQR10
  • Cost effectiveness – Very important when trying to replace an existing system
